In the southern hemisphere, spring begins on September 21 until the summer equinox, which is December 21. It is a time of year when the clouds begin to give way to the sun, the Lake District in spring becomes an ideal destination to enjoy its forests with lush vegetation and numerous waterways.

Unmissable destinations are the kayak and rafting trips, there are several trees and vegetation that are dressed in vibrant colors accompanying our passage through the calm waters of the lakes and fjords or the fast turquoise rivers such as the Petrohué River that originates from Lake Todos Los Santos traveling 36 km (22.3 miles) until reaching the Reloncaví Estuary.
A little further south we find the Puelo River which has his origin in Lake Puelo, in the national park of the same name, in the northwest of the province of Chubut; in the neighboring country of Argentina, extending a total of 120 km (74.5 miles) from its origin to its mouth in the Pacific Ocean Like the Puelo River, the Futaleufú River located towards the South of the region, has its origin from the lakes of the Los Alerces National Park, also located in the province of Chubut, Argentina. This is the longest of the three, covering 246 km (152.8 miles) between both mountains countries. Its final destination is Lake Yelcho, its waters coming from glaciers and characterized by its emerald green color.
The mountains contrast with the blue sky, clouds that move quickly and in the background we can hear the sound of the numerous water sources that characterize this region, being spring with its mountain breezes and longer days an ideal time of the year to visit the Region of the Lakes.
