Fly Fishing Excursion Petrohué River

INFORMATION

We will descend the Petrohué River with a guide in El Cable. Fishing for trout, rainbow trout and salmon. Enjoy barbecue meat and drinks, and continue fishing in a breathtaking environment. Return in the afternoon. Max. 2 anglers per boat.

We have a version with “asado” lunch by the river and another one without lunch.

What does the “asado” include per person?

  • 2 Anticuchos – 320 grams approx. per person.
  • 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine.
  • 1.5 lts Mineral Water or/and 1.5 lts Natural Juice in case of not consuming alcohol.

ROAD TO THE RIVER

We will go to the Petrohué River where our guide will be waiting for us with our boat in the El Cable sector to begin the descent of the river. We will find ourselves in an ideal area to fish from the shore, wade safely and access good spots with our flies.

FISHERMAN’S DESCENT

The river has mainly brown trout, rainbow trout and some King and Atlantic salmon, the latter highly prized by fishermen from all over the world for their size and great strength.

NOT EVERYTHING IS FISHING

After a morning of fishing, we go to the river shore to replenish our energy with grilled meat and drinks of our choice. After a short rest we continue fishing among wonderful landscapes. Finally, in the afternoon they will be waiting for us to take us back.

Checklist

  • Season: From the second Friday in November to the first Sunday in May of the following year.

  • Duration: Full Day, approximately 6 to 7 hrs.

  • Departures: 08:30 hrs from Puerto Varas and 9:15 hrs from Ensenada.

  • Minimum age: 5 years old.

    All minors between 5 and 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; those over 10 years old, but under 18 years old, must have a simple permission from at least one parent or guardian.
