Trekking Callao Hotsprings 3 Days 2 Nights

Day 1

Day 1: Petrohue- El Callao

Early in the morning we start off by going through our gear and equipment for the trekking that awaits us. Once we feel ready, we will board the boat which will take across the lake Todos Los Santos to the nothern corner which is called El Rincon where our trek begins. For approximately 4 hours we will cross through Valdivian forests, typical for this area with Coigue, Manio, Ulmo and Lingue. At midday, after having advanced a bit, we will stop on the beach of the River Sin Nombre to refresh ourselves and have lunch. When we feel ready, we will continue the trail, which finally leads us to Valley Sin Nombre. Here we will get settled at the rustic lodge and spend the night. After we are all settled in, the hot springs will await us for a nice hot bath which will most certainly recuperate our strenght after the hike.

Day 2

Day 2: Cenizo Volcano

Breakfast at 9.00 am. After having breakfast and preparing the required equipment for the day’s trek, we will start our ascent to Cenizo Volcano which is not a technical ascent. This is a smooth hike towards the Summit where we will enjoy the amazing views of the Puntiagudo Volcano and the surroundings. Here we have our lunch and after a rest, we descend towards our lodge in Callao Hot Springs. Again we can enjoy the hot springs following dinner at 20.00.

Day 3

Day 3: El Callao – Petrohue

Breakfast at 9.30 hrs. Morning free with the possibility to explore the beautiful surroundings, enjoy the hot sprigs, fish in he river or simply just relax and enjoy the scenery. Around midday, we will have lunch and afterwards get all our equipment ready to start our descent towards the lake. Now that we are more familiar with the area, our eyes will be ready to spot the different species of flora and fauna that these magnificient forests offer. Late in the afternoon, we will be arriving at Rincon where our boat will be waiting for us to take us across the lake back to Petrohue.
