Rafting Puelo River
Join us to row and enjoy one of the most beautiful rivers in southern Chile, the Puelo. Its beautiful Class III emerald waters will make us enjoy an adrenaline activity, starting with a floating of 30 minutes approx. appreciating in its splendor the wonderful landscapes that Puelo offers us, to begin our crusade with the formation of an increasingly narrow canyon until reaching 10 meters. wide and that gives rise to the spectacular rapids that will take us down the river for 2 hours approx. making a total of about 17 km. mixing with backwaters of calm waters. During the land tour we can enjoy the crossing of Lake Tagua Tagua via ferry.
Departure from Puerto Varas towards the city of Puerto Montt to take the Carretera Austral route that will take us through wide beaches, coves, fishing, islands, observing birds and lush vegetation, appreciating towns such as Pelluco, Chamiza, Piedra Azul, Metri. , Lenca, until we reach Caleta La Arena where we will take our first ferry to cross the source of the Reloncaví Estuary until we reach Caleta Puelche, and continue with the route that takes us to Puelo. Arriving at the town of Puelo we will take the crossing that goes to Lake Tagua Tagua to continue with our second ferry that crosses this lake in approximately 45 minutes, and continue with our route passing through the towns of Puerto Santo Domingo and Llanada. Grande until reaching the town of El Balseo. Here we will organize the equipment to begin our Rafting journey on the Puelo River, ending in the Puerto Santo Domingo sector where we will end our day by raising our base camp where we will have a delicious lamb on a stick, salads and recover strength.
Early in the morning, we will have breakfast and disarm our camp to begin our floating journey through the backwaters of the Puelo River. We will go on duckies and a raft for a relaxation floating of approximately 5 hours when we will go out together with the Manso River, then we take out equipment and go to the barge back to Puerto Varas.
